This all seems strange to me although I have been journaling for 12 years now. More recently I have toyed with the idea of writing a blog so here goes.

When visiting The Gambia 🇬🇲 which is often called the smiling coa of Africa I journal daily. On my last visit lasting three months I chatted and got to know so many vulnerable people who seemed to form a theme for my writing. I have just returned from a short stay in Blackpool which doesn’t have another name however I discovered similar vulnerable people.

Since my mother died in 2015 I have visited several seasides which I will perhaps discuss in future postings.

All these experiences have created a greater self awareness. Perhaps the vulnerable people mirrored my own vulnerability.

  1. Dear Margaret, thank you firstly for your visit to my blog..
Blackpool, like many other British coastal towns rely on Summer tourism and there is a lot of unemployment usually in these areas, Along with substance abuse and homelessness, So it is no surprise you found vulnerable people there…
I hope you are enjoying your blogging experience..
Wishing you well in all you set out to achieve..
    Sue 🙂
